Zionist Soldiers Wounded in West Bank Operation; Hamas Praises Palestinian Defiance

The zionist military reported that two of its soldiers sustained injuries during confrontations with Palestinians in a raid in the occupied West Bank city of Tubas. In response, Hamas reiterated its stance, asserting that the resistance would remain resilient and unwavering despite Israel's heightened aggression.

The Israeli occupation army reported that two soldiers sustained moderate injuries after being hit by an explosive device hurled at them by a Palestinian amidst Saturday evening’s raids.

The military reported that the incident occurred amid “offensive activity” in the region. It stated that both soldiers have been transported to the hospital while Israeli forces persist in their efforts to locate the perpetrator.

In response to the development, the Gaza-based resistance movement commended the Palestinian resistance groups’ courageous retaliatory actions in the occupied West Bank, declaring that the determination of the Palestinians surpasses any “tools of oppression.”

Hamas has declared that the recent Tubas operation underscores the resilience of their resistance in the West Bank, asserting that it remains unyielding in the face of adversities. The group emphasized the strength of their people’s resolve, stating that it cannot be undermined by oppressive measures or intimidation tactics.

The statement emphasized the right of the population to retaliate against the increasing acts by the occupiers. It extended praise to the valiant forces of resistance, acknowledging their perseverance despite considerable challenges. The declaration further asserted that the ongoing operations are a genuine reflection of the people’s outrage and denial of the occupation.

According to Palestine’s official WAFA news agency, Israeli military forces conducted an incursion into Tubas on Saturday evening, deploying a substantial convoy of military vehicles. Further reinforcements, including two bulldozers, were subsequently dispatched from the Tayasir checkpoint located to the east of the city.

Occupation forces have reportedly razed a portion of the main street in the heart of Tubas, blocked the city’s southern entrance with earth mounds, and dismantled sections of the main road near Tayasir junction, as reported by a news agency.

Infantry units, along with snipers, were positioned across various neighborhoods, executing a series of home raids, according to WAFA, which quoted local sources. Eyewitnesses reported that forces conducted multiple home invasions, compelling inhabitants to vacate their residences, which were subsequently utilized as military posts for a number of hours.

The recent raid inflicted significant damage and imposed further movement restrictions on Tubas residents, who have been experiencing repeated incursions and closures in recent weeks amid an intensified Israeli campaign throughout the occupied West Bank.

In a Friday statement on X, the United Nations Human Rights Office (OHCHR) reported that over 1,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in the past two years, primarily due to actions by the Israeli military and settlers in the West Bank.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has escalated its actions against Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, in conjunction with the launch of its comprehensive military campaign targeting the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of Palestinians have perished, and thousands have been injured since the onset of the conflict, attributed to actions by Israeli settlers or military forces in the occupied region.

More than 700,000 Israeli settlers are living in over 230 settlements that have been established since the 1967 Israeli occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The international community regards the settlements as illegal under international law and the Geneva Conventions.
