Zionist Regime’s Warplanes Conduct Airstrikes in Southern Lebanon

Zionist forces have intensified incursions into Lebanese territory, raising concerns about the breach of the ceasefire agreement.

Israeli forces have intensified their violations of Lebanese sovereignty, contravening the ceasefire agreement and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, as reports emerge of a fresh series of assaults in the southern region.

On Thursday morning, an escalation occurred as Israeli military aircraft targeted residential structures in the southern towns of Mahrounah, Jbaa, Baraachit, and Al-Majadel. According to a report from an Al-Manar correspondent, the strikes resulted in the destruction of several homes.

The assaults occurred merely a day following a negotiation session between Lebanese and Israeli adversary representatives at the Mechanism Committee, with former ambassador Simon Karam serving as Lebanon’s civilian delegate.

Israeli drones earlier deployed stun grenades in the vicinity of fishermen near the coast of Naqoura, as well as in the town of Adaisseh, escalating tensions in the southern coastal and inland regions.

Throughout the day, Israeli drones maintained a low-altitude presence over Beirut and its surrounding areas, intensifying their flights above the Grand Serail amid a cabinet session.

A correspondent from Al-Manar has verified ongoing drone operations across the eastern mountain range and nearby villages. This indicates a persistent intensification of aerial infringements on Lebanon’s sovereignty.

The municipality of Mahrounah has issued a strong condemnation of the recent attack on a home located in a densely populated residential area of the town. The assault was characterized as “a clear and deliberate violation of the safety of civilians, their families, and their property.”

In an official announcement, the municipality asserted that attacking secure homes in residential neighborhoods represents a blatant breach of humanitarian law and international standards, as well as an effort to instill fear and panic among the populace.

The municipality of Maharounah has issued a statement in the aftermath of a recent attack, expressing both sorrow and outrage. The people remain undeterred in their determination, with officials stressing that such cowardly acts of violence only serve to reinforce their attachment to their land and bolster their resolve to stay and defend their community through all available and lawful measures.
