Yemen’s Military Strikes Israeli Targets, US Warships in Red Sea, Arabian Sea

Yemen’s armed forces said they launched drone and missile attacks on two Israeli military sites and two US warships in response to ongoing hostilities.

The spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said on Monday that the military carried out two operations against Israeli targets in southern occupied Palestine.

He stated that drones were used to strike a vital site in Ashkelon and another military target in Eilat.

According to Saree, the operations were conducted using “Yafa” and “Sammad-1” drones.

«In response to American aggression against Yemen, our naval, missile and drone units targeted enemy warships, including the US aircraft carriers Truman and Vinson, in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea with cruise missiles and drones», he added.

«We targeted the enemy’s warships, particularly the US aircraft carrier Truman, in the Red Sea», the armed forces’ statement confirmed.

Saree said the Red Sea operation involved two cruise missiles and two drones.

He further noted that the USS Vinson was struck in the Arabian Sea using three cruise missiles and four drones.

The statement emphasized that the operations were successfully carried out.

It added that Yemeni forces would continue targeting US warships and all sources of threat within the declared area of operations.

The military said American «criminal aggression» would not prevent Yemen from fulfilling its religious, moral and humanitarian duties toward the Palestinian people.

The statement concluded that Yemen’s operations in occupied Palestine would persist until attacks on Gaza cease and the blockade is lifted.
