Yemen: U.S. Bases Serve ‘israel’s’ Interests, Not Regional Stability

Mahdi al-Mashat, who heads the Supreme Political Council, issued a statement on Sunday making these remarks.
In a statement directed at Arab leaders, he highlighted that the implications of the recent aggression towards Qatar sent a clear warning, suggesting that other nations might face similar fates.
He added that if action is not taken promptly, we are contending with a formidable adversary that only comprehends the language of force, regardless of how much people ignore the reality.
The comments followed fatal Israeli airstrikes targeting leading figures of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas in Qatar’s capital.
The attacks occurred in the context of Hamas’ continued collaboration with Doha’s mediation efforts to bring about an end to Israel’s ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, which began in October 2023 and has been termed a genocide.
The strikes faced widespread condemnation during an emergency Arab-Islamic summit convened in the city to address the aggression and its consequences.
The summit concluded without finalizing a concrete military strategy to establish a unified Arab-Islamic front with the goal of deterring the regime.
The bases, as some perceive, are not intended for your benefit, but in fact, are positioned against you.
In his concluding remarks, the official pledged that Sana’a will support the nations in countering any potential acts of Israeli aggression, as it has demonstrated in its stance on Gaza.
He referred to the Yemeni Armed Forces’ frequent demonstrations of solidarity through strikes in support of the coastal region.
Yemen has reiterated its stance in support of Arab and Islamic unity in addressing the perceived threat posed by Israel.
