Yemen Targets Occupied Ben Gurion Airport with ‘Palestine 2’ Hypersonic Missiles

The Yemeni Armed Forces have reportedly launched a hypersonic ballistic missile targeting a major Israeli airport, in a move expressed as solidarity with Palestinians facing the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s Armed Forces, declared on Tuesday that a “Palestine 2” hypersonic ballistic missile had been launched towards Ben Gurion International Airport within the occupied territories. This action was stated to be in retaliation for what the spokesperson described as “the crime of genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against people in the Gaza Strip.”

Saree emphasized that the military operation achieved its objectives effectively, attributing their success to divine intervention. The operation led to millions of Zionists seeking refuge in shelters and resulted in the suspension of airport operations.

Warning sirens were activated across multiple regions in the occupied territories early Tuesday morning, following an Israeli military report that it had intercepted a missile originating from Yemen.

The operation was launched just hours after the Yemeni Armed Forces reported a “successful” attack on key strategic locations within Israel, utilizing five drones.

Earlier on Monday, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a prominent figure in the Political Bureau of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement, cautioned that Yemen will escalate its counteractions should the Israeli regime heighten its assaults on the nation.

Since the commencement of the crisis in October 2023, Yemeni forces have launched numerous operations in solidarity with residents of conflict-stricken Gaza. These operations have involved targeting various locations across the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as engaging Israeli ships bound for ports in the region.

The conflict erupted after Gaza’s resistance fighters initiated the unexpected Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli state, in retaliation for its prolonged campaign of violence and destruction against Palestinians.

The relentless offensive on Gaza has resulted in the loss of over 59,000 Palestinian lives, predominantly affecting women and children.
