Yemen says armed forces ready for any scenario after Netanyahu’s military threats

The Yemeni information minister in the National Salvation Government has stressed that the country’s Armed Forces are fully prepared for any possible military scenario, after Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the regime will act militarily against the Arab country if the United States fails to do so.

“We stand ready to confront any military action against ourselves,” Dhaifullah al-Shami stated late on Saturday.

He added that Yemeni forces have employed anything at their disposal in solidarity with their Palestinian brethren in the Gaza Strip.

“Any ship that seeks to deliver a consignment to Zionists will be in our crosshair,” Shami pointed out.

According to a report by Israeli publication N12News, Netanyahu has told Biden that Israel will act militarily against Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement if the US fails to adopt any action.

N12News posted on X Saturday that Tzachi Hanegbi, Israel’s so-called national security chief of staff, told journalists Amit Segal and Ben Caspit about the Tel Aviv regime’s intention to respond to Yemeni forces that have attacked and seized several Israeli-linked ships in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandab Strait.

“Tzachin Hanegbi to Amit Segal Ben Caspit: Netanyahu informed Biden…- if you don’t act against the Hutus, we will act militarily,” the post on X reads.

Yemeni army says will strike all ships in Red Sea en route to Israeli-occupied territories

The Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a relentless military campaign against Gaza in early October.

On December 4, the Yemeni army targeted two Israeli ships in the Red Sea as they were attempting to cross the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

Reports have shown that Israeli shipping companies have already decided to reroute their vessels in fear of attacks by Yemeni forces.

Yemeni forces have also launched missile and drone attacks on targets in the Israeli-occupied territories of Palestine after the occupying regime’s aggression on Gaza.

‘Yemeni strikes will continue until aggression stops in Gaza’

Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a member of Ansarullah’s political bureau, also said there will be no cessation in Yemeni strikes until Israel’s aggression against Gaza stops.

Bukhaiti stated that the decision to block the passage of Israel-bound ships came after the Tel Aviv regime opted to use foreign-flagged vessels rather than those of its own.

“We will rescind our decision to prevent the passage of ships dealing with Israel once food and medicine enter Gaza. Our military operations will increase until the Zionist regime’s aggression against the Gaza Strip stops,” he pointed out.

Bukhaiti went on to criticize Arab and Muslim countries for refusing to impose sanctions on Israel and force the regime to stop its unrelenting ground and air strikes against Palestinians in Gaza.

The member of the Ansarullah movement’s political bureau also said that military developments in Yemen will inevitably force Washington and the Tel Aviv regime to regulate their policies in the West Asia region.

“The US has sent us threatening messages, and warned us against intervention in the Gaza war. Our response, however, was nothing but attacks against Israeli targets in support of Gaza,” Bukhaiti noted.
