Yemen Military Chief Pledges Ongoing Support Until Palestine Liberated

Major General Yusuf Hassan al-Madani, the Chief of Staff of Yemen’s Armed Forces, has reiterated Yemen's steadfast backing of the Palestinian resistance. He also paid tribute to the fallen Hamas commanders who faced Israeli forces on the frontlines.

In a recent communication with Hamas, al-Madani pledged steadfast support for resistance factions, emphasizing commitment to the complete liberation of Palestine and the expulsion of all occupying forces from the contested territories.

A message of steadfast support was expressed, affirming allegiance with the choices and endeavors undertaken until clear victory is attained, full independence is realized, and the last Zionist soldier departs from Palestinian territory.

Al-Madani commended the fallen resistance leaders for their unwavering commitment to “challenging oppressors and combating injustice on every battlefield.”

A Yemeni military official emphasized the Palestinian people’s capacity to cultivate numerous leaders akin to these martyrs, asserting that “the flag of resistance will remain ever upheld.”

A statement was released following confirmation from the al-Qassam Brigades, the military faction of the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas, that their long-standing spokesperson, Abu Obeida, was killed in an Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip.

The resistance group has verified the deaths of several prominent individuals, including Mohammed Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza; Muhammad Shabana, known by his nom de guerre Abu Anas, who was the former commander of the Rafah Brigade in the al-Qassam Brigades; and Hakem al-Issa, the previous chief of staff of the “combat and administrative support division” within the Qassam Brigades.

The chief of Yemen’s general staff underscored that the actions of the martyred commanders played a significant role in undermining the “Zionist regime,” dismantling its air of arrogance, and highlighting profound examples of sacrifice and devotion.

A Yemeni military leader asserted that the “downfall of the Zionist enemy” is an indisputable reality, questioning only the courage and integrity of those who doubt this belief.

In response to the resistance, al-Madani emphasized that despite the persistent tyranny, arrogance, and oppressive measures of the Zionist adversary, it is unquestionably on a path towards an unavoidable downfall and ignominious conclusion.

In a statement, he described the Zionist adversary as duplicitous and infamous for violating treaties and accords, asserting that its recourse to clandestine eliminations during times of truce and ceasefire serves as undeniable proof of its duplicity and a candid acknowledgment of its incapacity to engage resistance forces effectively on the battlefield, where its armaments have been rendered ineffective by the extraordinary resilience showcased by opposition forces.

In a separate statement, Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, praised the martyred Hamas commanders for their sacrifices on the front lines.

In a statement, Houthi announced that Hamas commanders were killed while actively engaging on the front lines against what was referred to as the Zionist military operations and terrorism.

He expressed strong condemnation of Israel’s decision to recognize the self-declared Republic of Somaliland, asserting that Yemen “resolutely opposes any attempt to divide Muslim lands.”

Reports have emerged suggesting that Somaliland, a self-declared independent region from Somalia, is being considered as a potential site for the forced relocation of Palestinians by the Zionist authorities.

The region has exercised self-governance since the civil war began in 1991, yet it continues to seek formal international recognition.

Somaliland, situated along the Gulf of Aden, hosts the strategically significant deep-water port of Berbera.

Reports suggest that Israel is planning the establishment of a military base in Somaliland, which would potentially allow it to exert influence over the Gulf of Aden. This strategic move could facilitate launching operations against the Ansarullah-led administration in Yemen.

Yemen’s Ansarallah movement, led by Abdul Malik al-Houthi, issued a stark warning in a recent address, stating that any prospective Israeli presence in Somaliland will be treated as a “military target” by the Yemeni Armed Forces.
