Venezuela Gratitude for Iran’s Continued Support Amid Rising US Tensions

Al Mayadeen reports that Gil, in an official statement directed at the Islamic Republic of Iran on Tuesday evening, expressed Caracas’ gratitude for Tehran’s unwavering support in the face of what he described as the “aggressive and illegal actions by the United States.”
Representing Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Gil expressed his “warm greetings” to Iran, stating that Caracas “greatly appreciates Iran’s dedication to the stability of international trade.”
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister stated that the stability of international trade is presently at risk as a consequence of actions taken by the United States.
Gil expressed gratitude towards Iran for urging nations worldwide to resolutely oppose any threats or use of force that contravene the United Nations Charter.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement denouncing recent U.S. military actions targeting Venezuela, labeling these maneuvers as a significant threat to the security and stability of the Caribbean and Latin American regions.
Iran has called upon the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General to swiftly tackle the perilous situation arising from what it describes as the United States’ unlawful interferences in Venezuela’s internal matters. Emphasizing Venezuela’s sovereignty and its status as a United Nations member, Iran insists on the urgent need for international attention.
