Thirty-Five people killed in traffic accident on the Deir Ezzor–Damascus road

Thirty five people were killed and thirty others were injured on Saturday in a traffic accident on the Damascus–Deir Ezzor road.
SANA reporter said that the accident occurred when two buses collided in the area between Al Sukhna and Palmyra on the Deir Ezzor–Damascus highway.
The reporter noted that the Ministry of Defense dispatched several helicopters to participate in the medical evacuation of the injured and the victims to the Homs Military Hospital.
The Ministry of Interior stated on its official platforms that ambulance teams and the competent authorities rushed to the scene, where efforts are underway to transport the injured and evacuate the victims.
Dr. Najeeb Al Naasan, Director of the Ambulance and Emergency Department at the Ministry of Health, told SANA that the toll of the accident has reached 35 deaths and 30 injuries so far.
The Syrian Civil Defense indicated on its Telegram channel that its teams headed from the Palmyra center, with reinforcement requested from Deir Ezzor centers, to respond to the accident.
