Terrorist ‘israeli’ Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon Violate Ceasefire, Resulting in One Fatality and Injuries to Dozens
Zionist airstrikes targeting southern Lebanon have resulted in the death of one individual and injured approximately twelve others. This development signifies the latest violation of the tenuous ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), referencing local officials, has reported that Israeli drones launched two missiles targeting a vehicle at the western entrance of Yater town in Nabatiyeh Governorate on Monday, resulting in one fatality.
Later in the day, a press release from the Public Health Emergency Operations Center at the Lebanese Health Ministry reported that an Israeli airstrike on a building in the Ksar Zaatar neighborhood of Nabatiyeh city resulted in injuries to at least 12 Lebanese civilians.
Among the casualties were four children and seven women.
Two individuals are reported to be in critical condition following the recent strike.
The Israeli military announced on Monday night that it had conducted an airstrike targeting a Hezbollah command center in southern Lebanon.
After incurring substantial losses over a nearly 14-month conflict and failing to meet its objectives in the offensive against Lebanon, Israel has opted to enter a ceasefire agreement with the Hezbollah resistance movement, which came into effect on November 27, 2024.
In recent developments, Israeli forces have been conducting operations against Lebanon, including a series of airstrikes, thereby violating the established ceasefire agreement.
On January 27, Lebanon announced its decision to extend the ceasefire with Israel until February 18.
Israel continues to hold control over five strategic areas in southern Lebanon: Labbouneh, Mount Blat, Owayda Hill, Aaziyyeh, and Hammamis Hill. These areas are situated in proximity to the border.
Amid frequent Israeli airstrikes and continued violations of Lebanese airspace and sovereignty, Hezbollah remains the only credible military force capable of countering the occupation and preventing further Israeli incursions.
As Washington and Israel’s calls for the disarmament of the Lebanese resistance group grow stronger, many in Lebanon argue that these demands fail to address the core issue of Israel’s persistent violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
