The Syrian armed forces raided ISIL positions in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur and killed tens of them.
A Syrian source in the Eastern front said that the ISIL fighters’ strongholds in Deir Ezzur were raided by army men.

The Syrian army attacked ISIL’s armored vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns, missile launch-pad and artillery and destroyed them, the source added.

The Syrian source also said that the country’s jet fighters bombed ISIL strongholds in Deir Ezzur, including al-Jabilah, al-Arafi, al-Hamidia and al-Hawiqah districts.

“The Syrian infantry units also targeted the ISIL gathering centers in al-Sordah mountain, al-Mariah, al-Jofrah and Howaijah Sokar regions in the Eastern parts of Deir Ezzur,” the source added.

During the operations, tens of terrorists were killed and many more were injured.

Also, the ISIL terrorists were targeted in Hatlah, Salehia, Tabia and al-Husseinia districts in Reef (the countryside of) Deir Ezzur and tens of them were killed and wounded.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi and Syrian officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.
