Syria, South Africa discuss stronger bilateral ties

Officials from the Syrian Foreign Ministry and the South African Embassy in Damascus met on Wednesday to explore ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries.

Ashhad al-Salaibi, director of the Afro-Asian and Oceania Affairs Directorate at the Syrian Foreign Ministry, hosted South African Ambassador Ashraf Yusef Suliman at the ministry’s headquarters for talks.

The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and developing practical frameworks for cooperation that serve shared interests.

The two sides also reviewed recent regional and international developments.
