Speaker Qalibaf Cautions Terrorist ‘israel’: Resistance Will Not Be Cornered Following Beirut Strike

The Speaker of Iran's Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, has issued a stern warning to Israel, emphasizing that no part of the resistance can be targeted in isolation. He asserted that Iran's robust diplomatic efforts, coupled with the courage of Lebanese fighters, will ensure Lebanon's sovereignty and counteract Israeli aggression.

Qalibaf stated on X that the resistance will remain unified, as the efforts of Lebanon’s valiant fighters and the diplomatic influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran will ensure Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also expressed confidence that these actions will put an end to what he described as the reckless actions and aggression of the Zionist regime.

In a direct message to the Israeli government, Qalibaf ended his remarks with a Persian idiom that translates to “go ahead and make your move, we will respond in kind.”

The announcement followed hours after Israeli military operations targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut, resulting in the deaths of at least three individuals, among them a senior Hezbollah commander.

The attack breached a tenuous ceasefire that has been in effect since early April, intended to stop direct US-Israeli aggression on Iranian soil, although it did not specifically encompass Lebanon.

Since the ceasefire agreement in April, Iran has persistently asserted that any assault on resistance forces, including those in Lebanon, would be considered a violation of the truce.

Earlier this month, Iran launched missile strikes targeting Israeli-occupied territories for the first time since the 40-day war. The action was in retaliation to prior Israeli attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
