A senior official in Aleppo announced that the city will soon be declared as a safe and secure region.

“We have sufficient forces to retake Aleppo completely and we will not let it take too much time and the city will soon become a secure region through either reconciliation or military means,” Head of Aleppo Security Committee Zaid Ali Saleh said.

Meantime, Secretary of the Baath Party branch in Aleppo Ahmad Saleh Ibrahim underlined the necessity for cooperation among all Syrian groups to implement the national reconciliation plans, reestablishment of security in Aleppo and bringing those who have been fooled by the terrorists back to their home.

Noting that Aleppo has more than any other region come under attack by the terrorists, he said that time is now ripe for strengthening unity in Aleppo.

Thursday reports from Aleppo said that the Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters took full control of several buildings in Ramouseh region in the Southern parts of the province.

The army soldiers, backed by Hezbollah fighters, stormed the Southern districts of Aleppo as they targeted Jeish al-Fatah’s defense lines at the Old Ramouseh district.

According to battlefield sources, pro-government forces clashed heavily with the Jeish al-Fatah terrorists who were positioned in the buildings, destroying a gathering and a site for the militants and setting up military points in the area surrounding it.

According to reports, tens of terrorists were killed, others were injured and their weaponry and ammunition were destroyed.

On Wednesday, the Syrian army regained control of several points South of the flashpoint city of Aleppo after delivering heavy blows to the terrorist groups during clashes just outside the city, military sources said.

“The Syrian Army forces and their allies are now in control of several structures in al-Ramouseh, including the municipality buildings and premises of a chemicals factory, after they managed to kick out terrorists from the area,” the sources said.

The Syrian Army success came as fighting rages between army forces and the terrorist groups in the area after militants started targeting the army men with sniper fire and rocket propelled grenades.

In recent weeks, the Syrian army troops repulsed several assaults by Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group on the military academy and the municipality buildings in the contested area.

The Syrian Army declared end of ceasefire across the country on Monday night, regretting that militants did not adhere to any of the provisions stated in the truce agreement, however it reaffirmed commitment to fight against terror after the end of truce.
