Ammar Al-Moussawi, Head of Hezbollah’s International and Arab Affairs, emphasized that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was a well-considered maneuver rather than a reckless endeavor, asserting that Lebanon’s pro-Gaza stance was a strategic decision, not a risk-laden venture.
During the International Conference in Support of Gaza and Al-Quds, which convened in Istanbul, Turkey, Hezbollah’s representative, Al-Moussawi, asserted that what he described as the “Arab and Muslim abandonment of Gaza” over a period exceeding two years of relentless struggle, sacrifice, and hardship, amounts to a conspiracy.
“This decision is a gamble that risks the future of this nation and the destiny of Palestine.”
A senior official from Hezbollah questioned why a nation encompassing close to two billion individuals remains unresponsive to the sacrifices and resistance of its populace. This statement was made during a conference attended by approximately 300 Arab and Muslim representatives on Sunday.
In remarks broadcast on Al-Manar, he addressed criticism regarding their involvement in supporting Gaza. He stated that while many have labeled their actions as a mistake or a sin, they consider it a continued source of pride and honor.
Al-Moussawi stated that “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” revealed “Israel” in two distinct ways: firstly, by exposing it as a fragile and crumbling entity, and secondly, by highlighting it as a brutal aggressor.
In response to Israeli threats of initiating a new conflict with Lebanon, a senior Hezbollah official emphasized that such coercive tactics only reinforce their conviction of enduring strength, despite the challenges they have faced.
Al-Moussawi declared emphatically, “Surrender is not part of our vocabulary, nor does it exist in our mindset. Had it been otherwise, it would have happened when Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah was martyred. Yet, we remain committed only to steadfastness.”
