Pezeshkian hails ‘exceptional’ turnout in Wednesday rallies despite enemy propaganda

President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed his gratitude to the Iranian people for their “exceptional” turnout in nationwide rallies marking the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
He made the remarks in the northeastern Golestan Province on Thursday, one day after Iranians took to the streets in millions to renew their allegiance to the Islamic Republic amid recent threats by the US and Israel against the country.
“I am extremely grateful and appreciative of the exceptional presence in the rallies” marking the Islamic Revolution victory, Pezeshkian said.
“Despite all the pressure and propaganda from the enemies to keep people away from the scene, they went the extra mile for the country’s unity and cohesion.”
He also noted that in response to the massive rallies, all Iranian officials are required to work around the clock to serve the nation.
Meanwhile, Pezeshkian added that Iranian government officials, legislators, and politicians have a heavy responsibility toward the Iranian people who proved that they would not be deceived.
“Our goal is to solve problems, and this is not possible without empathy and cooperation with the people,” he said.
“The people have come to the scene despite all the problems, and it would be far from fair if we, the administrators, do not serve them.”
Millions come to the streets across Iran as nationwide rallies marking the 47th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution begin across the country.
On Wednesday, Iranians across the country took part in nationwide rallies marking the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution after Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei called on the Iranian nation to demonstrate its will and steadfastness on the Revolution’s anniversary.
The rallies followed recent foreign-backed riots, which the US used as a pretext to threaten military action against Iran and built up American forces in the region.
Iranian officials have warned that any US attack would prompt an immediate response and could ignite a regional war.
Last year, Israel and the US waged an illegal act of aggression against Iran, killing at least 1,064 people.
