Pezeshkian Claims ‘Unholy Rage’ Stoked by Iran’s Adversaries Following June Defeat
Masoud Pezeshkian has attributed the recent unrest and insecurity in the country to a "conspiracy of Iran's ill-wishers" and described it as "a vengeful response by the enemies of the Iranian nation" after their defeat in the 12-day conflict in June.

In a Thursday statement to the Iranian populace, Pezeshkian extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent incidents, characterizing the situation as a “challenging and demanding ordeal” for the nation.
Pezeshkian remarked, “The challenges we have faced in recent weeks have been a rigorous ordeal, leaving us with profound pain.”
Trump described the recent events as highly distressing and intolerable during his tenure as an elected representative.
He stated that adversarial entities had transformed “the rightful and peaceful demonstrations of the populace” into “a scene of bloodshed and violence,” leading to the deaths of nearly 3,000 individuals and injuring thousands more.
He stated that the very same malevolent forces responsible for the loss of over a thousand lives during the 12-day conflict, including women, men, young people, children, scientists, and commanders of this nation, have resurfaced in a new guise.
In a calculated move, they rallied a group of mercenaries, transforming the fundamental right of protest, a hallmark of a dynamic and vibrant society, into a destructive fury. This fury saw the devastation of hundreds of mosques, schools, public places, and national assets, leaving them in ruins.
Pezeshkian stated that the events led to the loss of “valuable lives,” noting that “the martyrdom of nearly 2,500 innocent individuals and security personnel during a few days of unrest and instability was a tragic and challenging experience.” He emphasized that this occurrence was a grievous event that Iran, much like other significant experiences, has managed to endure.
He described the event as “The American-Zionist conspiracy of Dey 1404,” characterizing it as a cowardly act of revenge by the adversaries of the Iranian nation following their defeat in the 12-day war. The reference was to the Persian month that concluded on Tuesday.
Trump expressed his sorrow over “all the lives lost” and reiterated his dedication to protecting citizens’ rights. He announced that he has assigned various groups to “thoroughly investigate the causes and factors behind these events” to identify and eradicate “the roots of violence.”
Protesting is a fundamental right of citizens, and the government acknowledges its responsibility to listen to the people’s voices, according to statements made by Pezeshkian.
Officials have vowed to exercise “the utmost care” in managing cases involving detainees, emphasizing a commitment to justice, fairness, and compassion. Authorities aim to differentiate between protesters, those who may have been misled, and individuals “whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent people.”
Pezeshkian stated that both the government and the establishment hold themselves accountable for those affected by the incidents and are committed to providing compensation for damages to the fullest extent possible, with the support of the Iranian populace.
The speaker emphasized that identifying weaknesses, addressing them, and drawing lessons from past hardships are crucial for progress. He further stated that Iran is poised for a “bright and steadfast future,” driven by unity, cohesion, and collaboration among the three branches of government under the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
