Pezeshkian Appoints Ahmadian to Newly Established Strategic Position
Iran's leader has designated Ali-Akbar Ahmadian as his Special Representative and the Head of the Iranian Headquarters for National and Strategic Projects Development.

Masoud Pezeshkian has designated Ali-Akbar Ahmadian, the ex-Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), as his Special Representative and Head of the Iran Headquarters for National and Strategic Projects Development.
In a decree announced on Wednesday, the leader declared that the headquarters is anticipated to foster unity between the government and the populace. It will focus on dismantling obstacles to effective citizen engagement, particularly targeting Iranians residing overseas, alongside domestic and international investors.
The newly established headquarters intends to tap into the national potential, particularly engaging the country’s intellectual and elite circles, in order to achieve significant strategic objectives.
Ahmadian has been at the helm of the Supreme National Security Council since May 2023.
In a distinct decree issued on Tuesday, President Pezeshkian appointed seasoned politician and former Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to lead the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).
