More Than 1 Million Arbaeen Pilgrims Cross Iran-Iraq Border
Brigadier General Ahmad Ali Goudarzi, the commander of Iran's border police, has announced that more than one million pilgrims have crossed the Iran-Iraq border for the Arbaeen pilgrimage over the past ten days since the onset of the month of Safar.

General Goudarzi reported on Tuesday that over the past ten days, coinciding with the start of the month of Safar, one million Iranian pilgrims have crossed into Iraq through shared borders. Of these, approximately 250,000 have already returned to Iran.
A senior military official reported that approximately 63,000 pilgrims from various countries have passed through Iran’s shared borders into Iraq, with around 40,000 of them having returned to Iran.
It was highlighted that pilgrims from various nations utilize the Chazzabeh border crossing to travel to and from neighboring Iraq, while the Shalamcheh border is designated for nationals with legal residency status.
