Mikdad: Syria and DPR of Korea share honor of countering terrorism

Flag-Pins-North-Korea-Syria (1)Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad said Syria has deep-rooted and strong relations with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Mikdad was speaking during a farewell ceremony in honor of the DPRK’s ambassador in Damascus, Choe Su Hon whose post came to an end in Syria.
Dr. Mikdad said the two countries are matching viewpoints on international issues and “we both share the honor of countering terrorism and rejection of dictates.’’
Mikdad affirmed the free nations have always supported Syria against terrorist campaign targeting it backed by countries which claim to be fighting terrorism while supplying terrorists and gunmen with weapons and defending them at international forums.

‘’we are so confident that Syria will vanquish terrorism as we are confident that DPRK’s people will defeat threats, aggression and the suspicious US maneuvers,’’ Mikdad pointed out.
Mikdad said that bilateral relations have grown deeper stressing the necessity of continuing efforts to enhance the capabilities of the two countries at all levels.
The ambassador, for his part, said relations between the two countries are good and will become even better thanks to the efforts of both countries’ leaderships.
He expressed confidence the Syrian people will emerge victorious in the war against terrorism.
During the ceremony, Mikdad granted the ambassador the Order of Merit of the Excellent Degree.
