During a briefing on the monthly report outlining the military strategy to restrict weapons to state entities, Lebanese Army Commander Major General Rodolph Haykal informed ministers about the public demands in South Lebanon.
In a cabinet session convened on Monday at Baabda Palace, General Haykal addressed attendees, stating that the Israeli attacks are obstructing the Army’s plan and deployment efforts in South Lebanon.
Israeli strikes have been reported in close proximity to military sites, according to Haykal.
General Haykal informed the ministers of the critical public dissatisfaction regarding the state’s performance in South Lebanon. He emphasized that the residents in the southern region are urgently seeking government services and protection against Israeli aggression.
The Lebanese government resolved on Monday, during its meeting at the Baabda Presidential Palace, to suspend the activities of the Risalat Lebanese Association of Arts until the conclusion of the investigation into the “Raouche Rock Event.”
As the government deliberated on the suspension of the Risalat Association’s license and the exclusivity of weapons, a grave incident unfolded in South Lebanon where a civilian couple was assassinated in Zibdin town, reportedly attributed to Israeli forces.
