Leader offers condolences on demise of Ayt. Sistani’s wife
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei offered his condolences over the passing of wife of Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, Iraq’s most senior Shiite cleric.
In a message on Monday, Ayatollah Khamenei prayed to the Almighty God to bestow divine forgiveness and rest her soul in eternal peace.
The body of the wife of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Husseini Sistani was laid to rest on Monday morning at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH) in Karbala, with the participation of a large number of mourners and believers.
The late venerable lady was the daughter of Ayatollah Seyyed Mirza Hassan, granddaughter of Ayatollah Mujaddid Shirazi, and the wife of Grand Ayatollah Sistani.
