Leader of Islamic Ummah Highlights Crucial Influence of Religious Scholars in Forming New Islamic Civilization

In Tehran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, underscored the significant influence of religious seminaries in promoting Islamic teachings and contributing to the formation of a contemporary Islamic civilization.

In a statement delivered to the conference commemorating the centenary of the Qom Seminary’s reestablishment, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted seminaries as pivotal hubs for innovation, advancement, and addressing modern-day challenges.

Supreme Leader urged scholars to take an active role in advancing Islamic principles, emphasizing the pivotal leadership demonstrated by religious scholars in the major reform movements in Iran and Iraq over the past 150 years.

Ayatollah Khamenei has asserted that the seminary’s primary role is to articulate and disseminate the principles and culture of Islam while nurturing the growth of a new Islamic society.

The Leader articulated that the ultimate aim of the Islamic Revolution is to establish a civilization where advancements in science, technology, governance, and military capability are aligned with principles of social justice, public welfare, and spiritual development.

Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei called upon seminaries to actively engage in shaping and advancing this vision, emphasizing the importance of integrating Islamic philosophy and jurisprudence into contemporary society.

In another part of his statement, Ayatollah Khamenei commended senior religious leaders for their backing of the Palestinian cause, characterizing their responses as significant historical records.
