Pars Today reports that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution highlighted Iran’s resurgence as a beacon of pride for freedom-loving communities globally, attributing this development to the nation’s renewed bi’tha.

Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, in a message commemorating Eid al-Ghadir and the 37th anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s passing, as reported by Pars Today via IRNA, stated that…

The martyred Leader of the Revolution played a pivotal role in preserving Imam Khomeini’s ideology, not only through his eloquent speeches, writings, and actions, but also by establishing the 14th of Khordad as an annual pledge between the nation and Imam Khomeini.

He further mentioned that the martyred leader provided an extensive outline of the principles, policies, and foundational elements of Imam Khomeini’s doctrine.

In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful, praise be to God for perfecting the religion and completing His blessing with the guardianship of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib. Congratulations are extended to Muslims worldwide and to admirers of Ali, the father of the Islamic Ummah, on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir. Greetings are also sent to the pure soul of Imam Khomeini on the 37th anniversary of his passing on June 4th.

The 14th of Khordad marks a significant moment as it is the first without the influential presence of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, the esteemed martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Although his resonant voice and wise words are absent from the sacred Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, his legacy endures. The collection of his speeches and writings, along with those of the Islamic Republic’s founder, forms an invaluable repository, offering guidance and insight for future generations.

Today marks Eid al-Ghadir, revered as the Greatest Eid of God. This day signifies the divine covenant and binding pledge when God established the mandate for governance in society and the Islamic tradition. It is celebrated as the completion of His religion and the fulfillment of blessings through the ongoing Guardianship and Imamate of the Infallible Imams.

Ghadir serves as a poignant reminder of a figure who devoted every moment of his life, from his noble birth in the Kaaba to his martyrdom, to God and the divine path. After the revered presence of the Messenger of God, he is regarded as the supreme role model and a comprehensive exemplar for Muslims and believers across all generations. It is both appropriate and essential that individuals, from young children to the elderly, and from ordinary citizens to intellectuals and leaders, emulate his example, much like the two Imams of the Revolution who took pride in modeling their lives after this grand figure.

Today marks the anniversary of the passing of the revered Imam of the Ummah, a moment that offers a poignant opportunity to reflect on the legacy of this influential leader whose depth was not widely understood. As a charismatic figure with a profound grasp of his visionary path and noble objectives, he remains a guiding force for the future of Islamic Iran. However, many in the nation, particularly the younger generation, did not have the chance to encounter his leadership directly. Even among those who lived during his era, there are many who might not yet fully comprehend the profound nature of his character and the essence of his teachings.

In a passage from the Quran (34:46), the Almighty instructs the Prophet to convey a single piece of advice: to rise for the sake of Allah, whether in pairs or individually. This verse, among the earliest messages delivered by the revered leader of the Iranian Revolution and founder of the Islamic Republic, serves as a foundational document. It urged the Iranian populace to engage in Qiyam Lillah, or standing up for God. This principle became a cornerstone of Imam Khomeini’s philosophy, deeply impacting and shaping society through guidance and education according to this tenet.

This divine movement serves as the fountain from which blessings and favors cascade, aligning with the Lord’s established traditions to guide society toward the divine path, as emphasized in the Quranic verse: “And those who strive in Our way, We shall surely guide them in Our ways” (Quran 29:69). Moreover, it is evident that some of the most prominent and widespread movements and awakenings among the Iranian nation occurred under the leadership and influence, either directly or indirectly, of the revered figures of the Great Khomeini and the esteemed Martyr Khamenei.

What powerful force could have stirred a nation from its deep slumber, captivated by arrogance and colonialism, and suffocated by oppression and total reliance on the West on June 5, 1963? What compelling energy could have mobilized millions to flood the streets on February 1, 1979, to greet the leader of the community, and again on June 4, 1989, to pay their last respects?

In a remarkable display of determination and resilience, the Iranian nation has surged into action since March 1, 2026. Driven by a profound purpose, they remain steadfast in avenging the loss of their revered leader and other fallen martyrs, a sentiment sustained over the past three months. The populace continues to rally in defense of the Islamic system and their cherished country, united in their resolve. This commitment has mobilized tens of millions of dedicated individuals, all prepared to lay down their lives to fulfill the vision of their martyred leader, seek justice, and uphold divine principles.

The esteemed figure of Imam Khomeini is credited with uncovering and invigorating the inherent potential and preparedness within the Iranian people, always regarding them with the utmost respect. Demonstrating his meticulous attention to words and profound piety, Khomeini emphatically stated in his will, “I confidently affirm that the Iranian nation and its millions in this era stand superior to the people of Hijaz during the Prophet’s time and surpass the people of Kufa and Iraq during the times of Imam Ali and Hussain ibn Ali.” Today, the nation rejoices in its recent resurgence alongside the Resistance Front, proudly asserting its standing on the global stage. This renewed prominence is seen as a testament to the truth of Khomeini’s declaration, serving as a source of pride for conscientious observers and free nations worldwide.

The late Leader, whose revered rank may be elevated by God, once spoke of the profound influence capable of mobilizing an entire nation. This influence, he asserted, was embodied by the unwavering determination, calm demeanor, and compelling rhetoric of the esteemed Imam Khomeini. His leadership successfully rallied millions, ensured their continued participation, and guided them with a clear vision.

In a similar vein, Khamenei has been credited with sustaining this legacy for nearly four decades, steering both the Revolution and the Islamic system. By placing faith in the younger generation and enhancing public awareness, he prepared society to such an extent that his own eventual martyrdom marked a pivotal moment in the Iranian nation’s evolution.

The teachings of Khamenei align with those of the prominent Khomeini, rooted in the pure Islamic doctrines of Prophet Muhammad. This ideology emphasizes a commitment to rising for God’s cause, and its adherents are prepared to uphold justice, eliminate falsehood, and pursue this enlightened path. Imam Khomeini was the architect of a profound and historic transformation within Iran, impacting the Islamic community and the world at large. The martyred leader took on the mission of deepening, broadening, and sustaining this transformation, with efforts focused on system and societal development to achieve its fullest potential.

In this context, beyond preserving Imam’s ideology through his communication, literary contributions, activities, and various gatherings, he established the 14th of Khordad as an annual pledge between the nation and Imam Khomeini. During these speeches, he elaborated on a range of principles, policies, and guidelines integral to the Imam’s ideology. Among the consistently highlighted teachings were the following points:

– The Iranian nation is characterized by its religious foundation, intelligence, and courage.
– The Iranian populace are the legitimate proprietors of the country and the source of its empowerment.
– The Iranian nation is capable of enacting any just transformation it seeks, embodying the “we can” mantra across diverse domains.

Additionally, the imperative to support the oppressed was underscored as a duty grounded in Islamic, humanitarian, and Iranian values. Moreover, it was conveyed that the system of domination, led by the United States, challenges this nation, its unique identity, and its stance against submission.

Over the past 80 years, an establishment known as Israel has been developed, perceived by some as a ‘military base’ by proponents of imperialist agendas. Meanwhile, the existence of a robust and autonomous Iran is causing unease for those who deem it a threat to their strategic interests on the eastern borders of what is sometimes referred to as “Greater Israel,” east of the Euphrates River. There are claims that efforts are being made to hinder Iran’s advancement. In light of these developments, it is conveyed to the nation that the formidable adversary has faced setbacks against the nation’s courageous Armed Forces, suffering significant losses both in military encounters and within public arenas. This situation has seemingly led to a visible distancing by other nations. In response, the adversary is reportedly focusing on hybrid warfare strategies targeting the people’s resilience and attempting to influence the decision-making of national leaders. Key tactics in this effort include spreading doubt, despair, fear, mistrust, and discord.

In addressing adversarial intentions, it is imperative for all individuals to counteract such hostile plans through resilience, vigilance, maintaining unity and cohesion, fostering mutual confidence, and avoiding the dissemination of adversarial narratives. In this context, the role of leadership in upholding these principles is vital. Any measure that sows mistrust or disheartens the populace is seen as aiding the adversaries of the nation and its citizens.

A global opportunity has emerged to promote and implement the ideas associated with the influential leadership of the Great Khomeini and Martyr Khamenei—figures who, despite facing oppression, were victorious as leaders of the Islamic Revolution. This significant task falls upon the shoulders of the entire nation, particularly the youth, intellectuals, and artistic community. They are called upon to shape a promising future for Iran, grounded in this ideological framework and inspired by divine assurances. This endeavor seeks guidance under the patronage of [Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his noble reappearance)] and follows the path of pure Islam, as charted during the notable 250-year presence of the bearers of infallibility and Great Wilayah (peace be upon them all).

May Almighty God bestow upon this nation, which has taken decisive action, a final triumph and a path to remarkable progress and greatness. May He reunite the celestial souls of the two revered leaders of the Islamic Revolution and the pure spirits of its martyrs, especially those of the Second and Third Sacred Defenses, with their spiritual leader, the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him). May He bring joy to the sacred heart of our leader, Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), with the achievements of the Iranian nation. And through His grace and generosity, may He grant this beloved nation and its dedicated public servants the special prayers and intercession of Imam Mahdi.

May God’s greetings, mercy, and blessings be upon you.
