Israeli troops make brief incursion into northern Quneitra

Israeli occupation forces advanced on Monday into the town of Jubata al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria.
A SANA reporter in Quneitra said four Israeli military vehicles entered the town before withdrawing later.
Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, as well as raids, arrests and land bulldozing operations targeting local residents.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law. Damascus has also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities, halt Israeli violations and ensure a full withdrawal from southern Syria.
