Israeli forces launch incursion into eastern Quneitra countryside

Israeli occupation forces on Monday carried out incursion into the village of Al-Samadaniyah al-Gharbiyah in northern Quneitra countryside, setting up a checkpoint on the main road and preventing residents from passing through.

SANA’s reporter in Quneitra said that a force consisting of three Israeli military vehicles entered the village and established a checkpoint on the main road linking the area with the southern countryside. The forces stopped passersby, blocked traffic, and forced residents to turn back.

The move follows an Israeli incursion on Sunday into the town of Jubata al-Khashab in northern Quneitra countryside, where a force of five military vehicles deployed in the town’s central square, with no reports of arrests.

Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, the establishment of military checkpoints, raids on civilian homes, arrests, land bulldozing, and shelling.

Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Damascus has also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and ensure Israel’s complete withdrawal from southern Syria.
