‘Israel’ obstructing search for last captive’s body: Hamas
Hamas confirms it has provided complete information on the body of the last Israeli captive, accusing the occupation of deliberately obstructing search efforts to evade the terms of the agreement.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem confirmed on Wednesday that the movement has provided all available information related to the body of the last Israeli captive, stressing that Hamas has responded positively to all mediation efforts aimed at locating the body.
In a statement, Qassem emphasized that the Israeli occupation has repeatedly obstructed the search process, particularly in areas located beyond the “yellow line”, which marks a boundary restricting certain operations.
“The movement has always coordinated with mediators involved in efforts by resistance factions to locate the body,” Qassem said.
Qassem reiterated that Hamas is prepared to cooperate with all mediators and guarantor states in any initiative that may help locate the body. He also accused the occupation entity of deliberately exploiting the situation and the failure to recover the body as a pretext to avoid fulfilling its obligations under the first phase of the agreement.
The remarks come amid ongoing negotiations and mediation efforts, as resistance factions continue to press for progress on prisoner exchange and broader ceasefire arrangements.
