In response to the alleged infringement of the ceasefire and airspace violation by the “Israeli” forces, the Islamic Resistance fighters in Lebanon undertook defensive actions. At 15:30 on Wednesday, March 6, 2026, they reportedly intercepted an “Israeli” Hermes 450 – Zik drone over the Western Sector of southern Lebanon using a surface-to-air missile, compelling the drone to retreat.

Amid heightened tensions, Islamic Resistance fighters launched a rocket attack on Israeli military positions near Yuhmor Al-Shaqif in southern Lebanon at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2026. This assault was carried out in retaliation for what they described as Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, which they allege led to civilian casualties and injuries in Lebanese villages.

The attack targeted a concentration of vehicles and soldiers of the Israeli military in the town of Al-Qantara, southern Lebanon.
