IRGC Naval Forces Thwart US-Induced Unauthorized Passage in Strait of Hormuz: Report
Reports have emerged indicating that sounds of explosions in Sirik County were linked to the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy's response to a rogue oil tanker that tried to unlawfully navigate the Strait of Hormuz, contravening Iranian security protocols.

According to a report by IRIB News on Thursday, an Iranian security source has attributed the incident to recent acts of aggression and maritime provocations by the US, referred to as a terrorist and child-killing regime, targeting Iran’s southern coasts the night before.
The IRGC Navy has asserted stringent control over the critical maritime corridor of the Strait of Hormuz. This move includes recurring public announcements emphasizing that any reckless navigation or unauthorized transit through this pivotal waterway will be regarded as a significant threat to Iran’s security and the stability of the region.
The IRGC Navy has reportedly closed the Strait of Hormuz in response to what they described as provocative and unsafe actions by the American forces along Iran’s southern coastlines.
In a series of statements, it was emphasized that all ships have been thoroughly warned against attempting to navigate through the strait. These actions have been classified as a direct breach of security, the official stated.
According to sources, the IRGC Navy is prepared to implement firm and stringent actions against any aberrant vessels, irrespective of their type or nationality.
Maritime captains and ship masters have been cautioned against being swayed by what are described as misleading assurances or provocations from the US. They are advised to closely follow the instructions of the IRGC Navy and maintain their vessels in secure positions.
A security source has reported that the vessel at the center of the recent confrontation is an oil tanker that has been labeled as a violator of maritime regulations.
Following explicit warnings from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval forces, the tanker was compelled to halt its efforts and adhere to the restriction on navigating the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC Navy remains vigilant and actively monitors the strategic waterway, fulfilling its inherent duty to safeguard Iran’s maritime sovereignty.
Military operations are actively underway in the Strait of Hormuz, with extensive surveillance and patrol activities being conducted. Any vessel attempting transit through this strategic passageway will be met with strong and decisive action, according to the source.
The recent operation highlights the IRGC Navy’s unwavering determination and tight control over the Strait of Hormuz amidst ongoing provocations and threats from the United States, posing challenges to regional peace and security.
