IRGC Launches Missile and Drone Strikes on US Fifth Fleet Base in Bahrain
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) reports it has executed a significant missile and drone assault on the US Navy's Fifth Fleet base located in Mina Salman, Bahrain. The attack follows closely on the heels of a declaration by the new leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, who underscored Iran's "determined and regret-inducing" commitment to defense initiatives.

The public relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that an assault occurred on Thursday, involving two consecutive waves of missile and drone strikes targeting the base.
According to the statement, precision missiles and drones were deployed to target crucial installations at the base. This included anti-drone defense systems, storage and maintenance areas for drones, as well as facilities for support equipment and fuel tanks.
According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the recent strike effectively targeted gatherings of American military personnel, resulting in considerable damage.
A statement proclaimed, “By divine grace, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed,” following Ayatollah Khamenei’s assertion that the critical maritime passage in the Persian Gulf should remain inaccessible.
Ayatollah Khamenei, in his inaugural address to the nation on Thursday, emphasized the importance of upholding the people’s will for sustained defense measures. He declared that a continued presence in strategic locations is crucial and stressed that the Strait of Hormuz should remain inaccessible.
The assault came in the wake of the declaration of “Wave 42” as part of Operation True Promise 4, which was executed under the codename “Labbaik Khamenei” (Here I am, Khamenei).
The operation pays tribute to the memory of those who perished in the Ramadan War. It featured the launch of numerous high-powered missiles, such as Emad, Qadr, Kheibar Shekan, and Fattah, in addition to suicide drones, targeting locations in Israel and US military bases within the area.
The US Naval Forces Central Command has reported an incident involving a fire that erupted on the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier. The vessel was conducting operations in the Red Sea as part of activities against Iran.
The U.S. military announced via X that the USS Gerald R. Ford continues to be fully operational despite two sailors having sustained injuries that are not life-threatening.
Iran’s armed forces have recently deployed bunker-buster missiles in operations aimed at dismantling key U.S. military installations.
The Army announced on Thursday that it launched attacks on critical infrastructure within Israeli-occupied territories, specifically targeting airbases and intelligence centers, utilizing its cutting-edge missile and drone systems.
Iran’s armed forces have launched drone strikes targeting the Palmahim and Ovda airbases, according to a statement issued by the Army. These bases are significant assets for the Israeli military and intelligence operations.
The Palmahim base, situated in close proximity to Tel Aviv, serves as a prominent hub for satellite launches and missile testing. This facility also houses key components of Israel’s air defense infrastructure, including the David’s Sling system and Hermes 900 drones.
The Ovda Airbase serves as a prominent hub for training and operational activities within the Israeli Air Force, and is notable for accommodating American-manufactured F-22 fighter jets.
The strikes employed a blend of precision drones and missile attacks, primarily focusing on obliterating military and logistical assets at the targeted locations.
Furthermore, the Army announced assaults targeting the headquarters of Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security agency, which is responsible for coordinating critical operations like intelligence gathering and safeguarding key individuals and locations.
Israel has yet to officially confirm the full scope of the damage resulting from the strikes; however, local media reports suggest that at least 2,745 Israeli settlers have sustained injuries amid the ongoing conflict.
In other developments, alert sirens were sounded in Tel Aviv and Occupied Al-Quds, as the Israeli military confirmed that defense warning systems had been triggered by the detection of incoming projectiles.
In recent developments, Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance group, has claimed responsibility for launching a series of missile strikes targeting Israel’s air defense systems in the regions of Caesarea and Maalot Tarshiha.
Hezbollah has asserted responsibility for launching a barrage of rockets aimed at these systems.
