The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force has dealt significant blows to the Jaish al-Adl terrorist organization during a recent counter-terrorism military operation.
Second Brigadier General Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, who leads the 110th Salman Farsi Special Operations Brigade, announced on Sunday that the operation has significantly disrupted the activities of the Jaish al-Adl terrorist group.
Hosseini reported that the IRGC Ground Force’s commando unit, in conjunction with various operational units from across the nation, has effectively countered threats from Jaish al-Adl as part of the “Martyrs of Security” campaign in recent months.
Hosseini announced that a key accomplishment by the IRGC Ground Forces during the Martyrs of Security exercise was the successful dismantling of multiple terrorist cells and their operational bases.
A senior commander from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the discovery and subsequent targeted strike on a terrorist hideout deep within the country have significantly hampered operations conducted by the militant group Jaish al-Adl.
Hosseini announced that key figures of the terrorist organization were identified, apprehended, and neutralized during the recent operation, thereby bolstering long-term security in critical areas.
He lauded the effective collaboration among tribal leaders, the IRGC Ground Forces, and local residents in their joint efforts to combat terrorist elements.
Sistan and Baluchestan province, which shares a border with Pakistan, has experienced numerous terrorist attacks in recent years, affecting both civilian populations and security personnel.
Terrorist organizations targeting Iranian interests in the country’s southeastern and southwestern regions are suspected to have ties with foreign intelligence agencies, according to reports.
On October 26, a terrorist attack in the Gohar Kuh district of Taftan County, Iran, resulted in the deaths of ten law enforcement officers.
The Jaish al-Adl terrorist organization has asserted responsibility for the attack, marking one of the most lethal incidents in the province in recent months.
The organization has been responsible for a series of terrorist incidents across Iran, with a significant focus on the Sistan and Baluchestan region. Their operations have included the kidnapping of border security personnel and attacks on civilian populations and law enforcement facilities. These actions are aimed at creating unrest and destabilization within the province.
