IRGC Aerospace Pledges Unyielding Commitment to Uphold Resistance Banner

The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force has pledged unwavering dedication to maintaining resistance against the hegemony and oppression of dominant global powers.

In a televised interview on Tuesday, Brigadier General Majid Mousavi expressed that Iran’s Armed Forces, particularly the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its Aerospace Force, regard themselves as the leading figures of this movement and are committed to consistently upholding and elevating its banner.

He credited the force’s resolve to persist on this trajectory to the widespread national support for the resistance movement.

The commander stated that Iran, the nation they serve, stands as the backbone of their endeavors.

Mousavi characterized Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, as the sole figure empowered to define the elevated degree of respect that the nation merits.

The status and dignity of the nation are fundamentally shaped by its Leader, as the people have consistently shown attentiveness to his direction and guidance.

He acknowledged Ayatollah Khamenei as the legitimate successor to the legacy of the nation’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, a heritage that the Aerospace Force is committed to safeguarding diligently.

He declared, “We will uphold our profound duty to protect the Islamic Revolution until our last breath, viewing it through the lens of a ‘civilizational’ mission.”

The commander honored the memory of his predecessor, Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, who was martyred during an unprovoked Israeli offensive against the Islamic Republic last month. He also paid tribute to Brigadier General Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, recognizing his crucial contributions to the advancement of the force.

Iran’s Armed Forces, encompassing the Aerospace Force, have initiated a minimum of 22 phases of decisive counteroffensives amidst the conflict, focusing on several critical Israeli nuclear, military, and industrial installations.

The conflict saw a significant counteroffensive with the launch of hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones, prompting the Israeli government to seek a ceasefire just 12 days into the hostilities. This came despite Israel benefiting from unparalleled military and intelligence backing from the United States during the aggression.

In conclusion of his speech, Mousavi emphasized the duty that now falls upon those who have assumed the mission of defending the nation following the untimely loss of committed individuals like Hajizadeh.

He emphasized that the legacy of “courage and struggle” continues to resonate within the IRGC’s activities, noting that those who pursue this path carry a significant mission.
