Iraqi Army, Popular Forces Repel ISIL Attacks, Kill At Least 44 Fighters in Anbar

Commander of al-Hashed al-Sha’abi Shiite Volunteers in Haditha District confirmed that over 44 ISIL Takfiri terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured after the terrorists’ offensives were repelled by the Iraqi army and popular forces.

Wasik Fartousi said 13 vehicles of the terrorists, including six booby-trapped Humvees were also destroyed in Pattack operation of his forces.

“The security forces alongside Sadr Martyr forces repelled assaults of the ISIL militants on several areas in the district of Haditha, including al-Baghdadi, Barwana, Albu Hayat, Albu Alwas, which resulted in the killing of 44 ISIL insurgents and destroying of six booby-trapped Humvee vehicles as well as seven other cars,” Fartousi went on to say.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.
