Iraqi Army Kills Tens of ISIL Terrorists in Salahuddin Province

The Iraqi army backed by the popular forces killed tens of ISIL leaders and terrorists in a barrage of missile attacks on the Takfiri terrorists’ strongholds along Tikrit road in Salahuddin province.
“The Iraqi army targeted ISIL’s hideouts in al-Bou Ajil, Al-Elm, Al-Dour and Tikrit for the fourth consecutive day with Grad, L-106 and L-207 missiles,” a member of Iraqi popular forces Jafar al-Jaberi told FNA on Wednesday.

Al-Jabouri said that tens of ISIL terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured in Iraqi army attack on Tikrit.

He underlined that pounding ISIL positions with missiles in Salahuddin province will produce positive results and help to complete liberation of the province from terrorists’ control.

On Tuesday, the Iraqi security forces liberated Albo Shoarib area in Salahuddin province from the control of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorists.

“The security forces, supported by the volunteers and the Iraqi tribes, managed to purge Albo Shoarib area of the terrorists, killing four of them and destroying their vehicle, “an informed source said.

“The terrorists were taking the area as a base to launch the rockets targeting Samarra city,” the source added.

On Tuesday, Iraqi warplanes hit the positions of the ISIL Takfiri group in Salahuddin province, and claimed the lives of at least 10 terrorists.

The Iraqi fighter jets launched several strikes at the targets of the ISIL Takfiri group in the city of Tikrit and left dozens of them dead.

A senior army official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that “the Iraqi army artillery bombardment destroyed two houses that were taken by the ISIL terrorists as headquarters.”

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.
