Iranian Senior Lawmaker Warns US to Brace for Powerful Retaliation

The chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission issued a warning to the United States following Sunday night's attack on Larak Island, declaring that the latest action will face retaliation. He advised American forces to "just flee," indicating a strong stance from Iran regarding the incident.

In a post on social media platform X Sunday evening, Ebrahim Azizi issued a stern warning to the United States, declaring, “Challenge our resolve once more, and the cost you will bear will be greater. A response is forthcoming; make your escape!”

A prominent legislator stated that any new effort to challenge the Islamic Republic’s determination would merely increase the consequences of Washington’s existing humiliating setbacks.

Azizi warned that any further attempts to challenge will only exacerbate the consequences of past failures.

He emphasized that no crime, regardless of severity, will escape consequences. The forthcoming response, he asserted, will be devastating, surpassing previous impacts in severity and serving as a pivotal lesson that encapsulates the series of American challenges.

He further stated, “Anticipate with trepidation and dread.”

Just hours after the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps reported an American-perpetrated terrorist attack on Larak Island within the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in the deaths and injuries of multiple fighters and civilians, a warning was issued.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared that the defenders of Islamic Iran are prepared to respond to acts of aggression and hold the aggressors accountable.

Sunday’s terrorist attack represented the latest United States action on Iranian soil in recent weeks, underscoring a further act of desperation by an adversary already enduring a series of military and political setbacks in the area.

The United States’ presence in West Asia appears increasingly untenable as military installations, once seen as protective, are now perceived as sources of instability. Recent actions have heightened tensions, prompting calls for an expedited withdrawal. Earlier this summer, Azizi urged American forces to hasten their departure without delay.
