Iranian President emphasizes unity as essential to ousting aggressors from Muslim territories

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for greater unity among Muslims to safeguard their dignity and repel external forces coveting their territories.

In an address at the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, the Iranian president highlighted key issues. The event commenced on Thursday, drawing over 144 Shia and Sunni scholars from 36 nations.

He emphasized that adversaries seek to create divisions among Muslim nations, asserting that such attempts can only be overcome through unified efforts.

“Enhancing unity and coherence among Muslims will empower the community, stated Pezeshkian.”

He condemned the inaction of Muslim nations regarding what he described as Israeli criminal actions against Palestinians, as well as the regime’s destruction of hospitals and mosques.

Pezeshkian stated that Israel’s actions are facilitated by the lack of a unified stance and voice among Muslims, highlighting the absence of Islamic unity as a key factor.

The Iranian president underscored the necessity for Muslim-majority countries to foster a robust sense of unity and to demonstrate this commitment through practical actions.

He cautioned that any discord among Muslims is akin to treading “the edge of fire,” emphasizing that if Muslim nations embrace unity, no force will be able to confront them.
