Iranian Authorities Detain Mossad Operative Amidst Unrest

Iranian security forces have detained an individual affiliated with Israel's intelligence service Mossad after he was identified among agitators in Tehran. This development comes amid ongoing unrest in various provinces throughout the nation.

In a statement released on Monday, authorities revealed that an unidentified Mossad operative has been apprehended for covertly operating among rioters. The individual reportedly served as a liaison with riot leaders in recent days.

In footage released by law enforcement, segments of the individual’s confession detail the strategies employed for recruitment, training, and communication with entities linked to Mossad.

He claimed that he was recruited through social media for assignments given by an organization based in Germany.

He stated that individuals were identified via social media platforms, including Instagram and Telegram, based on their activities and likes. These individuals were then informed that they would receive support in executing any missions assigned to them.

A Mossad-linked operative disclosed that he received guidance on the specific equipment to acquire and the components to put together.

The individual reported receiving instructions to visit marketplaces, chant slogans, capture video footage, and transmit the material to his superiors.

In the subsequent days, he received information that his trips to the market were no longer necessary.

He revealed that his supervisors kept track of his activities using his mobile phone. According to him, the entirety of his training was conducted remotely, facilitated through phone calls and text messaging, while his location and movements were tracked using his phone’s signal.

“I now possess all the necessary knowledge,” he stated, noting that they were particularly seeking an individual of his caliber.

Iran’s Police Chief, Brigadier General Ahmadreza Radan, announced on Sunday that security forces have conducted strategic apprehensions of key figures alleged to have instigated disturbances both on digital platforms and in public demonstrations.

Radan stated that these individuals were allegedly receiving payments in dollars from foreign sources to incite public unrest.

Iran has been experiencing intermittent unrest since late December, following a depreciation of the national currency.

The United States and the Israeli government swiftly took advantage of the protests by deploying trained operatives to destabilize national security.

Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, suggesting potential aggressive actions in support of protestors.

Iranian officials acknowledged citizens’ right to peaceful protest but cautioned them to stay alert to riots allegedly supported by foreign entities.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on Saturday advocated for discussions with demonstrators who present legitimate grievances, while emphasizing the necessity of addressing those engaged in rioting acts.

He suggested that the unrestrained surge in currency values reflects “the hand of the enemy,” and emphasized the necessity of halting this trend.

Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, emphasized on Monday the importance of acknowledging citizens’ protests, while cautioning that those with connections to foreign intelligence agencies attempting to escalate these demonstrations into riots should be addressed distinctly.

Armed Forces Chief Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi has accused the United States and Israel of attempting to exploit the ongoing protests to make up for their setback in June’s 12-day conflict with Iran.
