Iran Pledges Consequences for U.S. and israel; China Calls for End to Aggressive Conduct
Iran has committed to maintaining its defensive and retaliatory actions until the United States and Israel express remorse for their recent unprovoked aggression against the Islamic Republic.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi conveyed these statements in a phone discussion with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday, marking the 26th day since the commencement of hostilities.
Araghchi highlighted the assaults by Washington and Tel Aviv on both civilian and defense infrastructure of the Islamic Republic since February 28, attributing these acts as the primary contributors to the existing regional instability.
Iran has asserted its commitment to safeguarding its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, vowing to continue its efforts until all goals are realized and the adversary comes to regret its aggressive actions, he stated.
He emphasized that the insecurity in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz is directly connected to the reported atrocities.
Iran has implemented measures and precautions that align with international law, with the intention of safeguarding its sovereignty and national security. These actions are designed to prevent any misuse of this waterway by aggressors seeking to commit acts of aggression against Iran.
In response to the recent violence, the Islamic Republic has shut down access through the strategic strait to enemy vessels as well as ships belonging to nations supporting the aggressors.
The Iranian foreign minister stated that vessels from other countries are allowed to navigate the waters, provided they coordinate with Iranian authorities.
The United Nations Security Council faced criticism over its inaction towards aggressive international actors, drawing concerns from various member states and observers.
Araghchi vociferously criticized attempts by the United States and select member nations of the United Nations Security Council to exert pressure on Iran.
In remarks made earlier, criticism was directed at the Council for allegedly overlooking the primary aggressors and instead, placing blame on the Islamic Republic for its acts of self-defense.
In response to pressure from Washington, the Council has recently passed a resolution denouncing Iran’s retaliatory attacks on American bases and interests located in the Persian Gulf littoral states.
The Islamic Republic has justified its strikes by asserting its right to target facilities, arguing that the nations hosting them are complicit by allowing their territories to be used by aggressors for attacks on Iran.
Iran has expressed a significant expectation for the members of the Security Council, particularly China and Russia, to adopt a resolute position in denouncing the actions of the United States and Israel. Tehran urges these nations to work towards preventing further exploitation of the Council by the United States, according to statements made by Araghchi to Wang.
China has issued a call to end what it describes as “bullying” tactics, urging a renewed commitment to diplomatic solutions.
The Chinese foreign minister reiterated Beijing’s steadfast denunciation of US and Israeli strikes on Iran, criticizing these actions as breaches of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He emphasized the critical need to put an end to “bullying behavior” on the global stage and advocated for resolving conflicts through diplomatic means and adherence to international law.
The Chinese foreign minister extended condolences for the recent death of Dr. Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, amid the aggression. The minister described Dr. Larijani as “a highly intelligent, distinguished, and patriotic figure,” highlighting his significant contributions to securing Iran’s national interests and advancing regional peace and stability.
