The Iranian Army announced on Saturday that the Joint Air Defense Command’s integrated air defense network successfully intercepted and downed 13 advanced drones within the last 24 hours.

According to the statement, the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) listed are the MQ-9, Hermes, and Orbiter.

According to reports, missile and artillery systems belonging to the Ground Force and Air Defense units of the Army, along with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), played a role in bringing down the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Drones were intercepted and downed in the northwestern, western, and southern territories of Iran, as well as in the vicinities of Isfahan, Kerman, and Tehran. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy drone unit executed a significant offensive targeting a critical U.S. air base. The IRGC announced a large-scale assault striking principal facilities utilized by American forces in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz area.

The statement announced that defense systems operated by the Army and the IRGC have successfully downed a total of 82 drones since the onset of hostilities attributed to the American-Zionist adversary.

The statement follows reports in local media indicating that Iranian military forces have successfully intercepted and brought down multiple foreign aircraft attempting to breach the country’s airspace from neighboring Kuwait.

The United States has attributed the downing incident to friendly fire originating from Kuwaiti military forces.

Iran has launched a series of comprehensive counterattacks against Israel and the United States, utilizing missiles and drones to effectively strike targets within Israeli-occupied territories and U.S. military positions in surrounding nations.
