Iran Denounces Zionist Airstrikes on Hamas Leaders in Doha as Breach of International Law

Iran has vehemently denounced Israeli attacks targeting leaders of the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement, labeling the actions as a breach of international law. These strikes occurred as discussions were underway regarding Trump's proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, on Tuesday expressed grave concerns over the aerial attacks targeting Hamas headquarters in Doha, Qatar. He described these actions as exceedingly perilous, in violation of all established international legal principles and norms, and contrary to the United Nations Charter.

The attack represents a violation of Qatar’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, impacting the Palestinian negotiators. This incident should act as a serious warning to the entire West Asia region and the international community, urging them not to remain silent in the face of the Zionist regime’s persistent legal violations and recurring crimes.

According to a senior Israeli official speaking to Channel 13, Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya and Zaher Jabarin, head of the Hamas Political Bureau in the West Bank, were present during the targeted meeting.

Reports indicate that Khaled Mashaal, a veteran leader of Hamas who survived an assassination attempt by Israel in 1997 in Jordan, also attended the meeting.

An anonymous Israeli official informed Channel 12 that Trump authorized the Israeli military action in Qatar.

On September 7, Trump unveiled a fresh proposal intended to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza, declaring that Israel had consented to the terms he had set forth. He also issued a warning to Hamas, urging them to accept the conditions, and indicated that the group had been apprised of the potential “consequences” should they choose to reject the offer.

U.S. officials have confirmed that Israel has consented to ceasefire proposals, even though Israeli leaders persist in publicly committing to intensifying their military operations.

Hamas has acknowledged receiving “ideas” from the United States aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict.

A Palestinian organization is reportedly holding approximately 50 Israeli captives, with around 20 of them believed to still be alive.

In the wake of the recent strikes targeting Hamas leadership, Qatar has announced a suspension of negotiations on an upcoming agreement, stating that discussions will be on hold until further notice.
