On the first anniversary of the 2024 conflict between Israel and Lebanon, the Islamic Resistance Military Media has begun releasing an episodic documentary series. This series aims to shed light on the various facets of the Battle of the Formidable in Might.

Hezbollah’s Military Media has asserted that the series is not merely a recount of events, but rather a historical documentation. Through its daily episodes, the series aims to capture and record the heroism of individuals who, with their courage and resilience, have etched remarkable chapters in the chronicles of resistance.

“The Battle of the Formidable in Might narrates the tale of indomitable individuals who, though never vanquished, etched a legacy of glory and immortality through their sacrifices, leaving an enduring mark in history.”

In a move denouncing Israeli actions and in the defense of Lebanon and its citizens, the Islamic Resistance executed a series of 17 military operations on Thursday, October 17, 2024. These operations were aimed at settlements, military sites, barracks, and troop positions held by Israeli forces along the Lebanese-Palestinian border, utilizing rockets and artillery shells.

In recent ground confrontations, Israeli military industries’ renowned equipment faced off against adept opposition forces. An Israeli armored unit sought to make headway on the Labbuneh hill but was met with strong resistance from fighters utilizing guided missiles. This engagement led to the destruction of four Merkava tanks, which ignited and resulted in crew casualties.

Two Merkava tanks were advancing near the Jall al-Deir site, opposite the town of Maroun al-Ras, when they became targets of guided missile attacks by fighters, resulting in casualties among the tank crews.

Resistance forces launched rocket salvos and artillery shells targeting concentrations of Israeli forces in Wadi Qatmon as well as the outskirts of Kafr Kila and Al-Adaisseh.

The Operations Room of the Islamic Resistance has released a statement indicating that, in accordance with the resistance leadership’s directives, it has moved into a new and intensified phase in its confrontation with Israel. This shift is expected to manifest in the unfolding events and developments in the days ahead.

Israeli media sources have indicated that 24 military personnel sustained injuries amid confrontations with Hezbollah at the northern frontier. An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed the fatalities of two officers and three soldiers from the elite Golani brigade during these skirmishes with Hezbollah on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Furthermore, it was reported that eight soldiers suffered severe injuries during the incident.

In a report by Yedioth Ahronoth, it was disclosed that troops from the Golani Brigade, during an operation in southern Lebanon, entered a building considered “safe” with aerial backing. However, they encountered an ambush by Hezbollah fighters at close quarters, who subsequently opened fire on them.

On that day, alarms were activated 23 times across several regions within occupied Palestine, with a notable focus on the settlements in the Upper Galilee and the Finger of Galilee areas.
