Hezbollah Official Warns Potential US Strike on Iran Could ‘Ignite Volcano’ in West Asia
A high-ranking representative from the Lebanese Hezbollah movement has issued a warning to the United States regarding any potential acts of aggression towards Iran. The official stressed that military adventurism of this nature could lead to a significant and widespread conflict across the region.

Nawaf al-Moussawi, who oversees the Borders and Resources portfolio for Hezbollah, stated on Wednesday evening that any prospective military initiative by the United States might stem from an error in judgment. He cautioned, however, that such an action would “ignite a volcano in the region.”
Iran finds itself in the crosshairs of Western colonial forces whenever it asserts its independent decision-making, according to recent statements. He further noted that since the 1979 Islamic Revolution’s triumph, Washington has consistently endeavored to dismantle the Iranian political regime.
Moussawi asserted that the United States has sought to dismantle the Axis of Resistance by depending on Israel to shoulder the main burden of the conflict, both strategically and in terms of casualties.
A senior Hezbollah official indicated that Trump is aiming for a deal with Iran, while also suggesting he desires the collapse of the Islamic regime.
Moussawi indicated that while Washington might initiate a hostile action against Iran, such a move would be insufficient to destabilize the Islamic regime.
He stated that the United States is hindered by its inability to foresee the consequences of the strike.
During his address, Moussawi referred to a recent speech by Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, emphasizing the grave repercussions that would follow any assassination attempt on Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
A high-ranking Hezbollah representative emphasized that Sheikh Qassem highlighted the severe repercussions that would befall anyone responsible for the assassination of religious authorities.
Moussawi has asserted that Lebanon is presently under the influence of a U.S. occupation, highlighting military operations taking place at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport as evidence.
He claimed that U.S. forces are unloading weapons and military equipment at Beirut airport, allegedly breaching civil aviation regulations.
In response to inquiries regarding Hezbollah’s potential involvement should the U.S. launch a strike on Iran, Moussawi stated, “We will address that situation if and when it arises.”
The comments emerge against a backdrop of heightened rhetoric by Trump, who has recently issued threats of new military actions against Iran. The United States has dispatched the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier and its associated strike group to West Asia, close to Iran.
