On Saturday, Hasan Ezzeddine, a member of the Loyalty to Resistance Parliamentary Bloc, firmly stated that Hezbollah remains resolute in its decision not to relinquish weapons that pose a threat to Israel.

In a speech delivered at an educational ceremony in Aiteet town, South Lebanon, MP Ezzeddine praised the decision of the five Shia ministers to withdraw from a cabinet session that was set to discuss the disarmament of the resistance.

MP Ezzeddine emphasized that the Taid Constitution and the ministerial statements underscore the legitimacy of the resistance arms, clarifying that the issue of exclusive weaponry pertains to the civil war militias.

A Hezbollah lawmaker highlighted that any government efforts to disarm the resistance are destined to fail as long as Israeli forces maintain their occupation of sites in Southern Lebanon.

MP Ezzeddine expressed perplexity over the Lebanese government’s neglect of its obligations as it engages in discussions about the disarmament of the resistance. This comes at a time when Israeli plans are reportedly being made to expand its occupation across the entire region.

A Hezbollah politburo member, former minister Mahmoud Komaty, has stated that the Lebanese government is facilitating a more prudent and composed dialogue concerning the issue of armaments. He emphasized that Hezbollah remains committed to upholding tranquility within the nation.

Komati emphasized that the government’s decision to tie the implementation of the US document to Israel’s commitments effectively results in the suspension of its implications.
