Hamas Urges Immediate Intervention to Halt Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza
The Hamas Movement has urged leaders of Arab and Islamic nations, along with the United Nations, to urgently intervene and take decisive action to terminate Israel's blockade on the Gaza Strip, citing the severe impact on the population's sustenance.

The Hamas Movement has called upon the leaders of Arab and Islamic nations, along with the United Nations, to urgently implement decisive measures to terminate Israel’s blockade on the Gaza Strip and address the ensuing humanitarian crisis affecting the region’s population.
In a statement released on Monday, Hamas condemned the recent comments made by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, labeling his remarks about the ongoing deprivation of over two million Palestinians in Gaza as a “full-fledged war crime committed openly before the global community.”
Hamas has stated that Smotrich’s comments came in the wake of an extended closure of over a month on Gaza. During this period, all essential supplies such as food, water, medicine, fuel, and medical equipment have been suspended.
The Movement has stated that remarks from Smotrich are indicative of the official stance of the Israeli occupation government and highlight the aggressive actions of its military. The recent bombing of a humanitarian food distribution center in Khan Yunis, which resulted in the deaths of seven displaced civilians, is cited as an example of these ongoing brutal crimes.
According to a report by the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, Smotrich pledged on Monday to block the delivery of any wheat to the besieged Gaza Strip.
Since the start of March, Israel has maintained the closure of Gaza’s border crossings, effectively ceasing the entry of humanitarian, relief, and medical assistance into the conflict-ridden region. This action, coupled with continued airstrikes targeting existing supplies, has resulted in an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
