Hacktivist Collective Handala Breaches Mossad’s Iran Desk
The hacking collective known as Handala has revealed a significant counter-intelligence achievement, claiming it successfully breached and surveilled a senior operative associated with Mossad's Iran division.
In a statement, the organization disclosed that the individual in question is Mehrdad Rahimi, who was identified as the leading operative overseeing Iranian agents within the agency.
In a statement issued by Handala, it was reported that Rahimi played a pivotal role in orchestrating networks of operatives, overseeing the logistical framework for riots, and directing covert financial resources to leaders of anti-government movements.
Handala claimed that although Rahimi thought of himself as a savvy strategist orchestrating covert operations, he had actually been under extensive surveillance for several months.
Mehrdad Rahimi attempted to assume a significant role in orchestrating and leading networks fueling the unrest within Iran, the group asserted.
All these activities were conducted under the continuous scrutiny and influence of Handala, raising questions about the effectiveness and operational independence of Rahimi.
The group announced that they have successfully breached Rahimi’s secure phone, granting them access to the officer’s communications. This has enabled them to uncover the identities of individuals linked to the riot networks.
The organization published surveillance video captured outside Rahimi’s home, indicating that they maintained physical observation over him as well.
The organization characterized its activities as a protective measure against what it termed a “dark cult” allegedly engaged in money laundering and manipulation.
The group announced the conclusion of an era characterized by deceit and contrived presentations. They declared, “You represent a hazardous and ominous cult, yet your period of leveraging the anti-Semitism label has reached its finale.”
Handala has forecasted an internal reckoning for Mossad, suggesting that the “Jewish people are awakening” and will ultimately oppose the organization’s “deceitful” methods.
