Gold prices hold steady in Syrian Market

Gold prices remained stable in the Syrian market on Saturday, maintaining the same levels recorded on Thursday.
According to the latest bulletin issued by the General Authority for Precious Metals Management, the price of one gram of 21 karat gold stood at 16,000 Syrian pounds for sales and 15,700 pounds for purchases. The 18 karat gram was set at 13,700 pounds for sales and 13,400 pounds for purchases.
On the international market, the price of an ounce of gold reached 4,348 US dollars.
Gold continues to be one of the most actively traded commodities in Syria, with local prices largely influenced by global market trends, exchange rate fluctuations, and domestic supply and demand. The authority issues regular bulletins specifying the official prices for sales and purchases.
