Ghalibaf to Trump’s Offer: We Are Not Looking for Ceasefire
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stressed on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic “definitely” doesn’t look for a ceasefire.
In a post on X, the Iranian speaker said: “We are definitely not looking for a ceasefire; we believe that the aggressor should be punched in the mouth so that he learns a lesson not to ever think of attacking our beloved Iran again.”
“The Zionist regime sees that its shameful existence depends on the continuation of the cycle of ‘war-negotiation-ceasefire and then war again’ in a bid to consolidate its dominance. We will break this cycle,” the top Iranian official added.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said late Monday that several countries including China, Russia and France have contacted Tehran regarding a possible ceasefire.
“Our first condition for a ceasefire is that the aggression must not be repeated,” Gharibabadi said, according to Iran’s ISNA news agency.
