Gaza Authorities Extend Amnesty to Non-Violent Zionist-Backed Gang Affiliates

The ministry of interior and national security of the territory announced in a statement on Sunday an offer granting individuals a week to come forward and “regularize their status.”
The action, it stated, was founded on the tenets of justice and national duty, aiming to restore order and strengthen national and social unity. This initiative follows the recent commencement of the first phase of a ceasefire plan intended to bring an end to the genocide.
The ministry expressed regret over the actions of certain gangs, stating that these groups “took advantage of the chaos during the conflict to engage in illegal activities that disrupted civil harmony, including attacks on private property and the theft of humanitarian aid.”
The reference was to organizations similar to the one associated with the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group, led by Yasser Abu Shabab. Abu Shabab, who previously served time in a Gaza prison, eventually ascended to lead the gang.
On Sunday, reports emerged indicating that Gaza’s security forces successfully neutralized a prominent member of the gang, previously known for recruiting militants to its ranks.
Palestinian authorities have identified another group linked to the Daghmash family, which has recently been implicated in the assassination of Saleh al-Ja’frawi, a well-known Palestinian journalist and social media influencer.
In addition to targeting prominent individuals, the gangs have been known to carry out attacks on Palestinians who congregate at aid distribution centers, initiatives supported by the United States and operated by Israeli authorities.
In its concluding remarks, the ministry issued a stern caution, declaring that those who refuse to surrender or continue to breach the law “will be subject to stringent legal consequences from the appropriate authorities.” The statement emphasized, “Consider this a final warning.”
