FM Araghchi: ‘Justice for Palestine’ only viable path to regional and global stability

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called for collective efforts to stop Israel’s unlawful conduct, which he said continues amid impunity, emphasizing that the only path to regional and global stability lies in upholding justice for Palestine.

Araghchi made the remarks on Saturday in Doha, Qatar, during a keynote speech at the Al Jazeera Forum 17, focused on “The Palestinian cause and the Regional Balance of Power in the Context of an Emerging Multipolar World.”

He warned that no region can remain stable while allowing an actor to act above the law, saying that Israel continues its crimes against Palestinians to advance an expansionist project pursued under the banner of “security.”

Araghchi also cautioned against the global repercussions of the comprehensive support and impunity granted to Israel despite its ongoing aggressive behavior, noting that the international legal system has already been weakened and that the world is moving toward a situation in which international law is no longer respected.

According to the top Iranian diplomat, while global action and collective regional efforts are needed to curb Israel’s behavior, Palestine must be viewed as an issue far beyond a mere cause of solidarity in order to ensure global peace.

“If the nations of this region seek a future free from perpetual war, they must recognize this fundamental truth: Palestine is not merely a cause for solidarity; it is the indispensable cornerstone of regional security,” Araghchi said, emphasizing that stability will be realized through “justice for Palestine.”
