Escalating Humanitarian Crisis: Gaza Death Toll Mounts Amid Accusations of Intentional Starvation by Slaughterer ‘israel’
In the Gaza Strip, a further five Palestinians, among them two children, have succumbed to hunger within the last 24 hours. A human rights organization has accused Israel of implementing a "deliberate policy" aimed at starving the Palestinian population.

On Monday, the Gaza Health Ministry reported an additional five fatalities, raising the total to 263 individuals who have succumbed to starvation amid the ongoing blockade in the region, attributed to Israel’s 22-month military campaign. The ministry further noted that among the deceased, 112 were children.
Amnesty International has accused Israel of engaging in a “deliberate campaign of starvation” in the occupied Gaza Strip, alleging systematic destruction of the health, well-being, and social fabric of Palestinian society.
A report featuring accounts from displaced Palestinians and medical professionals treating malnourished children highlighted that hunger is described as the “intended outcome” of Israeli policies and is “integral” to what is characterized as the regime’s continuous actions in Gaza.
Erika Guevara Rosas, who serves as the Senior Director for Research, Advocacy, Policy, and Campaigns at Amnesty International, declared that the testimonies gathered in the report represent more than just narratives of hardship. They serve as a powerful condemnation of the international system, which she argues has allowed Israel to oppress Palestinians with almost complete freedom from accountability for decades.
She emphasized the critical necessity of halting any Israeli initiatives to solidify its occupation of Gaza or intensify the military operations in the region.
She urged the global community, especially Israel’s allies, to fulfill their moral and legal responsibilities in putting an end to the violence in Gaza.
Guevara Rosas has called for an immediate halt to arms transfers, the implementation of targeted sanctions, and the cessation of any engagements with Israeli entities that could contribute to what he describes as genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
On October 7, 2023, Israel launched a significant military campaign in Gaza following a major operation by Hamas. This move was described as a response to the heightened measures imposed by the regime against Palestinians.
The government in Tel Aviv has yet to meet its stated goals of eradicating Hamas and securing the release of captives in Gaza. This follows a conflict that has resulted in the deaths of 62,004 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and has left 156,230 injured.
Gaza is currently experiencing severe food shortages, exacerbated by a blockade imposed by Israel that restricts the flow of vital supplies into the region.
